Anyone who camps a lot, probably has already picked up a Solo Fire Pit or something similar. Now there is an excellent cookbook to give campers’ ideas for great dishes while spending time in the outdoors, and will definitely want to be picked up immediately, The Solo Stove Fire Pit Cookbook: Fireside Food for Good Moments with Family and Friends.
The introductory chapter is a guide to using and maintaining a fire pit; it includes step-by-step instructions, as well as photographs; it is well written and easy to follow.
Next, are the recipes, and they are mouthwatering. They are written in the traditional manner so anyone beginning or advanced outdoor cooks, can successfully follow them. They include a list of ingredients, followed by step-by-step instructions. Each recipe begins with vignettes, tips, or information on the recipe as well as beautiful, professional photographs which make it quite difficult to plan what you want to include in your camping meals. My “must try” queue gets longer every time I pick up this cookbook.
The recipes include traditional camping dishes such as Classic S’mores, Pancakes, and various kabobs, as well as many that are unique, such as Campfire Sandwiches, Bahmi Goreng, and Sweet Tortilla Rollup. There is something here for everyone. This cookbook is good enough to make a gift for the campers on your gift list.
