HAIR LENGTH NOTES
I have written to numerous women who are selling their hair to ask them for the proper way to list a hair's length. These women indicate that the length listed in the main title should always be the longest length of the overall hair from the tip of the crown of the head down to the very bottom of the hair mass. On my head this hair length is 32 inches.
It's important to keep in mind that typically this is not the length of the actual longest hair on a person's hair. I.e. because hair tends to naturally layer, the hair coming from the crown top ends higher than the hair growing from the base of the skull. So on my head the longest actual single hair length is 28 inches.
Finally, few women are offering to shave their head to the skin. They are offering shorter lengths of their overall head of hair for sale. In my case, I am willing to cut the hair at shoulder blade length. This means the length of hair that would be shipped to the buyer would be sixteen inches at its longest point, and again because of natural layering the hair ranges between sixteen inches and twelve inches in that area.

Charity
Lisa will be donating the sale price for this hair to the buyer's choice of the following charities:
Heifer - provides farm animals to impoverished villagers
ASPCA - supports animals in need
Kiva - provides micro-loans to in need individuals
OxFam - supports refugees in troubled areas
Red Cross - provides disaster relief and blood drives
Lisa will be donating a full 100% of the sale price to the charity chosen by the buyer. In addition, Lisa will dollar-to-dollar match the amount of the purchase up to $1,000. That is, if the buyer pays $1,000 for Lisa's hair, and the buyer chooses for this money to go to the Red Cross, Lisa will then make up a check for $2,000 and donate that to the Red Cross.
Note that Lisa has been contacted by a number of people who want to personally give her a short / military style cut. Because the purpose of this is to encourage other people to cut their hair for charity, a non-salon cut is not an option. This haircut will be videotaped and publicized to encourage women to donate their hair to charity. For many women the idea of having a stranger come to their home to cut their hair would scare them off. This haircut must be able to presented as an encouraging, happy thing for women to do.
